Cultural activities and performing arts are an integral part not only of education but also of the college functioning. Almost every month, there are programmers, functions and activities held in order to provide a platform to the students to express their talents and to create awareness within the students of the spirit of the occasion. Some of the programmes we have had been on the occasions of Independence Day, Teachers’ Day and the first day of college.
Besides these, we have also had large scale marketing programmes which are the equivalents of culfests in other colleges, but only with more academic relevance for commerce students, a rally to create environmental awareness in the public in prominent localities of the city and an active job placement cell. Other smaller programmes held during the year were a Health and Hygiene programme for girls, a computer awareness programme, career orientation sessions and personality development programmes. The blood donation camps held in the college have been hugely successful with students as well as teachers responding with enthusiasm.
